Asus Unveils Waveface Ultra Flexible OLED Smartphone Bracelet

Smartphones have gotten progressively smaller, sleeker and more powerful in the past few years, but most of them don’t address one annoying problem – you have to hold them. Oh bother. If you’re looking for something with a little more superhero panache, check out what Asus just unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show – the insanely futuristic Waveface Ultra. It’s a superthin, flexible OLED wristband cell phone that you can snap onto your wrist, sort of like those outlawed slap bracelets from the 90s (remember those?). And the kicker? You can control it by magically gesturingyour fingers – touchscreen is so very 2009.

Blue Bell Lamp: Provides Illumination Whilst Form Part Of An Interior Design

With the idea that grows out of a natural observation, the Blue Bell Lamp is born that has the look that mimics the spray of bluebells. Aside from the imitating look, the way the Blue Bell lamp functions is very favorable as well. The bellflowers allows the users to have it rotated and oriented all in a single or different direction depending on the users preference. One can easily change the lighting angle of their Blue Bell Lamp by raising or lowering the sleeve for it changes the stalks curve. Fold Shelf From Gilbert13

Stylish bookshelf comes out in the market every now and then. Currently, UK designers Angela and Mark Gilbert who are both from Gilbert13 Studio have designed a wonderful shelf called Fold Shelf. It is made from a single sheet of steel and only requires a hand to fold and shape the shelf following the laser cut perforations. With the use of a minimal manufacturing process, the fold shelf has no visible joints or welds making it clean and sleek. Glass Bead And Top Pendant Lights By Tom Dixon

Designed to be part of the new collection, designer Tom Dixon has created the Bead and Top pendant lights. Made from heavy weight and extra thick pressed glass, the pendant lights form is made on after a glass are melted when blown. Using a G9 halogen lamp, the bead and top pendant light was able to produce a unique illumination that fill in the whole room. MoMA presents an interactive website on its current exhibition on the Bauhaus. It it the Museum’s first major exhibition since 1938 on the subject of this school of avant-garde art. Founded in 1919 and shut down by the Nazis in 1933, the Bauhaus brought together artists, architects and designers in a conversation about the nature of art in the age of technology. Aiming to rethink the very form of modern life, the Bauhaus became the site of an array of experiments in the visual arts.
