Different Ways To Juice

Juice is quite the apt name for this multifaceted charger. It sports a USB outlet at one end, and two slots for charging batteries at the side. These side slots are called Air Holder and can hold two different sizes in battery for recharging. The main unit works as an AC adapter and stores juice for your devices. LED lights on the body indicate charge-levels and the whole thing is offered as a sleek ingenious mobile charger.

Cool to know that this design will be out in Japan and Taiwan early next yearUS will soon follow.

If Those Little Lights Aren’t Cutting It

So you’re hearing impaired. And the telephone rings. But you aren’t looking at the phone, so you can’t see that little light flashing on it.* Or you’re looking for a new solution for waking up in the morning. Or the doorbell rings. What ever do you do? You come over here and check this right out, right now! It’s a wristband that informs about all of that at once, through sensations in the skin!

*This is assuming you’ve got a land-line of course. Not all in the world have a mobile cell phone yet!

Skin receptors are abundant on your wrist. That’s why the teacher SMACKS you on the wrist when you’re in trouble! (Or, at least, my auntie told me they used to do that in the school they went to.) So, instead of that, this device, the “Aria,” makes use of those skin receptors with patterns of touch in this fabulous band. Six audible events in the home communicate to the user of the band through different pressing patterns.

Tactile!

gh3 has completed a glass house for a photographer designed to maximise natural light. The photographers studio and boat house on Stoney Lake is a reimagination of the archetypal glass house in a landscape. A continuation of thinking about this architectural ambition, the central conceit of the glass house is reconceived through a contemporary lens of sustainability, program, site and amenity. The compelling qualities of simple, open spaces; interior and exterior unity; and material clarity are transformed to enhance the environmental and programmatic performance of the building, creating an architecture of both iconic resonance and innovative contextdriven design.

Original Sound Track: Toy T Runs on Musical Rails

Musician and designer Ricardo Seola’s ‘Original Sound Track‘ is a toy train that is filled with a lot of soul! The train assumes the role of a musician as it plays its track by plucking metal keys, just like the wind-up music boxes of yesteryear. Ten-piece sets of varying rails could be sold separately, allowing children to arrange and rearrange the toy trains sectional musical track in different ways to change the song. Still in its concept phase, we hope Seola’s musical toy train is on a fast track to production. Visit Inhabitots to watch the Original Sound Track in action!

Touchtable May Be The Best Portable Music Mixing and Listening Device Concept

Shakespeare once said, “If music be the food of love, play on” and this is exactly what the makers of the Touchtable have done. One of the most intuitive and interactive portable media players concepts and designs out today. The Touchtable, deigned by Thomas Mascall, can be controlled completely by the user by way of a large controller wheel, which can be used to modify pitch, timing and position of a track.

Mixing music has never been easier than with the Touchtable, which ensures that you can switch to the secondary track in order to mix or create samples over a track. This has a cue output that allows you to conduct each of the two tracks to either side of the headphone, match the pitch and beat, and then produce a mix of the two. This is one of the best portable equipment that has the facility to connect two devices wirelessly so as to create DJ equipment.

The best part of this device is that it allows multiple users to mix tracks by combining their own Touchtable. The Touchtable, when connected to the computer, allows you complete freedom and creativity to create your own music. The Touchtable allows you to do all the things you could do with a traditional DJ setup, albeit in a portable setup and at a much lower cost. Using the Touchtable to mix music is both easy as well as a wondrous experience for music lovers. So, try it for yourself today!
